After our time up on the terrace it was time to get back into class and learn even more about the rotation of the earth around the sun. Not much later it was time for lunch. It was clear that after all that hard work there were plenty of hungry stomachs to fill.

Is this really earth??

Let's rotate earth around the sun.

As this afternoon was to be the much anticipated horse riding, there was a tangible buzz in the air. However, nothing could have prepared us for the long and rather vertical hike to the equestrian centre! Forty five minutes later and having been split into teams of four teams and given clear instructions, everyone was very eager to get onto the horses and have fun. Game times with a doll and horses was very unique and the students had a great time competing for firstly grabbing the doll and then escaping to safety before being touched by the competing team. Well done to Mr. Kaiyo and Sarah as well as Amber and May-Ann for the many wins! Time there flew by and before we knew it, it was time to return to the Astronomy centre for free time, soccer and much needed showers. A quick note: we were requested another soccer match against the Reunion school and won 7-1 in a sweet victory!

Supper brought a delicious smoked chicken and mashed potato; finished off with fruit salad. At 8:30pm, all bundled up, we made our way back up to the terrace in order to get a chance to view Mars, Scorpio and the Moon! Wow - what an amazing time we had. The moon with its brilliance was definitely a memorable moment as we got to see all the craters and grooves in great clarity and close up. By 10pm, all were tucked into beds, exhausted but happy, ready for whatever would welcome us the next morning.
Starters - a real hit!

Mr. Kaiyo could not pass it up!
